Colton Leon Micheal Morris, age 16, of Whitney, Texas, gained his angel wings and went to be with the Lord on September 21, 2021 surrounded by loved ones.
He was born on November 20, 2004 to Rebecca Anne (Ruiz) Morris and Larry Wayne Morris in College Station, TX. Colton was a warrior that lived with Duchenne’s muscular dystrophy. Colton never let his disability upset him or hold him back. He attended Whitney ISD where you could usually find him on the football field supporting his beloved wildcats. Colton also loved muscle cars, video game, scary movies, camping, the Denver Broncos, and telling tales of looking for Big Foot. He had a zest for life and loved to sing and dance. Colton welcomed everyone into his life and never met a stranger. He was loved by all and was an inspiration to countless others.
Colton is preceded in death by his papa, Floyd Leon Duncan; grandfather, Ricky Lynn Amos; and uncle, Tom Moore.
He is survived by his parents, Rebecca and Larry Morris of Whitney, TX; sisters, Clowey and Ashlyn Morris of Whitney, TX; grandparents, Rita Burnett of Phoenix, AZ, Ellen Duncan of Whitney, TX, Alfredo Ruiz and wife, Deborah of Sunray, TX, Vada Stewart and husband, John of North Zulch, TX; aunts and uncles, Dee Dee Kieth of Canyon City, CO, Dawn Moore of Olathe, KS, Adam Ruiz of Amarillo, TX, Nathan Amador and wife, Brittany of Amarillo, TX, Brisa Amador of Amarillo, TX, Alfredo Jr. Ruiz and wife, Ashley of Amarillo, TX, Christy Amos of Franklin, TX, along with many more beloved family members.
A Celebration of Colton's life will be held at 2:00pm Sunday, October 24, 2021 at the Whitney High School Football Field in Whitney, Texas.
