Connie Bentley

Connie Sue Bentley, 62, of Whitney passed away Tuesday, August 9, 2011, at Providence Health Care Center in Waco. Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, September 3, 2011, at Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors Chapel in Whitney.

Connie was born November 28, 1948 in Los Angeles, CA to Robert and Margie (Thompson) Reed. On March 28, 1975 she married Bill Bentley in Seymour, TX. For the past 15 years, she was the Administrative Assistant to the Assistant Superintendent for Whitney ISD. Her Whitney ISD family was very special to her and she always enjoyed working with them. She loved working in her yard, animals, especially her dog Otis, and spending time with her grandchildren and family. She was a member of Fort Graham Baptist Church in Whitney.

Preceding her in death were her parents and a sister, Pat Heinz.

Survivors include her husband, Bill Bentley of Whitney; four children, Jim Robertson and wife, Lisa, and Eric Robertson and wife, Kristi, all of Burleson, Prescha Weiss and husband, Brad, of Lumberton, and Bill Bentley, Jr. and wife, Jolenna, of Whitney; brother, Rick Harbster and wife, Cindy, of Hurst; two sisters, Bobbie Ann Splawn of Whitney and Sally Mead of Fort Plains, NY; six grandchildren, Josh Robertson, Seth Faglie, Tanner Robertson, Evan Robertson, Lil Bill Bentley, and Kelly Strahan; and close friends, Zanette, Dee, Marilyn, and Melody.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1700 Lake Success Drive, Waco, TX 76710.
