Connie Timmons

Connie Timmons, 49, of Whitney, passed away on September 7, 2017 at Park Plaza Nursing Home. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, September 11, 2017 at Whitney Memorial Park with Mr. Rob Beasley officiating, under the direction of Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors in Whitney. A visitation will be held from 10 - 11 a.m. prior to the service at the cemetery.

Connie was born on June 29, 1968, in Irving, to Teddy and Betty (Owen) Timmons. A 1986 graduate of Whitney High School, she received her Bachelors degree in Elementary Education from Southwest Adventist College. As a special education teacher, she taught grades 1-4 at North Elementary School in White Settlement. A resident of Whitney since 1981, she had also worked at Bobby’s Burgers and the Short Stop convenience store.

Connie loved spending time with her kids and her grandkids coloring and doing crafts. She was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Teddy Timmons and Betty Lackey.

Survivors include her children, Matthew W. Turner of Crowley, Teddy A. Turner of Whitney and Amber Schoell of Arlington; grandchildren, Braylen Turner, Aiden Ring and Adalynn Schoell; step-mother, Lois Timmons of Whitney; step-father, Steve Lackey of Cleburne; grandmother, Babička Herman; brothers, Jerry Don Overton of Whitney and Jason Lackey and wife, Heather, of Cleburne; sisters, Sheila Clay and husband, Wayne of Whitney and Susan Hill of Whitney; and many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

Memorials may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
