Connolly Frank, 93, of Blum, passed away peacefully with his family on Friday morning, October 6, 2006. Connolly Frank, known for his outgoing and charismatic nature, was loved and respected by all who knew him. Born in Huron, Texas on December 5th, 1912 to Myrtle Connolly and Ben Frank, Connolly Frank was the descendant of J.J. and Sue Ella Connolly who settled in Huron in 1878. Connolly graduated from Whitney High School in the class of 1929, and later attended Texas Tech. A proud citizen, Connolly entered the service of the Army Air Corps during WWII, where he met his beloved Olga Helene Johnson while stationed in Memphis, Tennessee. They married on September 8th, 1945 and this year celebrated their 61st wedding anniversary. After moving to Midland in 1949 to try his hand at various businesses, Connolly and Olga welcomed the birth of their son, Neil Connolly Frank, in 1951 and daughter, Ginger Sue Frank, in 1953. The family returned to Hill County in 1975 where Connolly would farm his own land until retirement in his 80?s. A faithful and devoted member of the community, Connolly was a member of the Cedar Creek Baptist church all his life. He was ordained a Deacon of the church in 1977, became Chairman of the Deacons in 1978, and recently was granted the honorary title of ?Deacon for Life? because of his years of service. In the year 2000, Connolly was honored for his 50 years of dedication as a Sunday School teacher. Connolly was preceded in death by two sisters, Oleta Epps and Audrey Faulkner; one brother, Kendall ?Shorty? Frank; and one grandson, Ryan Clark. He is survived by his loving wife, Olga Frank; daughter Ginger and husband, Walter Clark; son Neil Frank and wife, Glenda; sisters, Grace Scott, Anna Ruth Marsh, Virginia Scott; grandsons, Chad Clark, Cory Clark, Weston Clark, and Garrett Frank; granddaughter Chelsea Frank; and five great-grandchildren. Remembered by family and friends for his strength, kind heart, and unwavering faith in our Lord, Connolly will be deeply missed.
