Constance “Connie” G. Copeland, 63, formerly of Houston, passed away Saturday, December 15, 2012, at her home in Whitney following a year long bout with cancer. A memorial service will be held at a later date in Houston with interment service next summer at Little Norway Cemetery in Fertile, Minnesota.
Connie was born September 15, 1949 in Crookston, MN, daughter of the late Otis A. and Leora M. (Trontvedt) Rindahl. She was a 1967 graduate of Crookston High School and attended Bemidji State College where she received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology in 1972. Connie was employed in social work for the Red Cross in Manhattan, KS for two years and later at Lackland AFB in San Antonio for one year. In 1976 she moved to Houston where she worked for the First Court of Appeals for six years and then Bearne, Parson, Maynard Law Firm for ten years before retiring to Whitney, Texas in 2011. She enjoyed antiquing, crafting and photo collecting. She was an all around fun gal.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Kathleen Rindahl.
Survivors include one daughter, Erin Floyd of Lewisville, TX; four grandchildren, Blake, Skyler Samantha and Madison Floyd; one sister, Sandra Juengel and husband, Warren of Sanford, MI; one brother, Michael Rindahl and wife, Robin of Phoenix, AZ; two half-brothers, Daniel Trontvedt of Grand Forks, ND, and Ray Rindahl and wife, Amy of Chanhassen, MN; one half-sister, Lorrie Daniels and husband, Merl, of Blaine, MN; three step-brothers, Rod Rindahl and wife, Danette, of Charles City, IA, Robert Rindahl of Andover, MN, and Randy Rindalh and fiancée, Shirley Bailee, of Poplar, WI; step-mother, Doris Rindahl, of Brooklyn Center MN and friend Dwayne Krogstad,and step-father, Erin Trontvedt of Fertile, MN; three aunts, one uncle, several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
