Cora Lee Grigsby, 95, of Whitney, formerly of Bynum, died Sunday, December 10, 2006, at Hill Regional Hospital in Hillsboro. Cora was born May 19, 1911 in Josephine, Texas the daughter of Childs Wilkerson and Lettie Ann Holland McGee. On January 29, 1934 she married W. O. Grigsby in Hillsboro and he preceded her in death on May 28, 1959. Cora loved kids very much, especially her grandchildren and great-granddaughter. She was a very independent person, who loved reading western books and working word search puzzles. She was an avid quilter and loved croteching. In 1972 she retired as a cook for the Bynum schools. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Bynum. Also preceding her in death were her parents, three brothers, and four sisters. Survivors include her children, Fred Grigsby and wife, Bessie, of Waxahachie and Frieda Grigsby of Whitney; three grandchildren, Rachel Grigsby & Jimmy Boatman of Arlington, Matt Grigsby of Waxahachie, and Tony Grigsby and fianc, Laura, of Fort Lewis, Washington; a great-granddaughter, Addysen Boatman of Arlington; and two step-great grandchildren, James Boatman of San Marcos, CA and Kiersten Boatman of Arlington.
