Courtnea Odom

Courtnea Mae was the daughter of John M. and Bobbie Ann Weldon Smith. On September 8, 1938, she and Lester J. Odom were united in marriage in Hillsboro. Lester preceded her in death on July 1, 1987. Also preceding her in death were her parents, one sister, and 9 brothers. A dedicated homemaker, she was a member of Walnut Street Missionary Baptist Church in Hillsboro. Teaching Sunday School and private kindergarten classes provided her great enjoyment through the years. Survivors include her son David M. Odom and wife, Suzanne, of Kerens; one sister, Olivia Young of Cleburne; and 2 grandchildren, Matthew and Michelle Odom both of Kerens.
