Craig Alan Blanchard of Whitney, Texas passed away at his home on October 6, 2024. A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:30 pm., Saturday, November 2, 2024 at the Lighthouse Pub at 1000 White Bluff Dr., in Whitney, Texas.
Craig was born in Mesquite, Texas on May 20, 1953 to Joe John Blanchard, Jr. and Georgia Alberta Puffenbarg. He attended high school in Mesquite, at North Mesquite High School. During Craig’s early adult years, he was a member of the Professional Putters Association (PPA), playing in its putting tour throughout the country. In addition to owning a construction company in and around the DFW metroplex and later in Whitney, Texas, Craig from his self-taught engineering skills and abilities, had patented two inventions, The Competition 2000 training putter for golf and The Perfect Spine, connectable vertebrae and discs for use in orthopedic applications. Craig was a competitive dart thrower, skier and golfer and a member of the White Bluff Golf Club on Lake Whitney.
Craig was preceded in death by his parents, Joe John Blanchard Jr. and Georgia Alberta Puffenbarg; and his sister, Tina Ann Blanchard.
He was survived by his brother, Wayne Blanchard of Seagoville, Texas; his niece, Christina Blanchard of Frisco, Texas; and many of his lifelong friends who were continually blessed by his loyal friendship.
