Craig Wayne Schriver

Craig Wayne Schriver passed from this life on January 19, 2024.

He was born February 12, 1941, in Longview, Texas, to Merrill Cecil Schriver and Margaret Moore Schriver. Craig graduated from Odessa High School in 1959. He went into the army after graduation and was assigned to an army base in Germany. Craig married Sarah Walker Schriver in November of 1962, in Hillsboro, Texas. He worked several years in the HVAC business and as an area maintenance technician for the United States Postal Service in Dallas. When Craig was younger, his greatest desire was to spend time building and flying radio-controlled airplanes. When his twin grandsons were born in 1993, they became the lights of his life.

Craig was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Benny Schriver of Goldthwaite; and his grandson, Brandon Schriver. He is survived by his wife, Sarah Walker Schriver; his sons, Scott Anthony Schriver of Waxahachie, Alan Craig Schriver and wife, Julie, of Burleson; grandsons, Darien Schriver and wife D’Layni, of Waxahachie, and Jordan Schriver of Burleson; granddaughter, Jacqueline Schriver of Burleson; brothers, Merrill Cecil Schriver and wife, Elaine, of St. Frances Village in Crowley, and Jack Edward Schriver and wife Vicki, of Liberty, Texas; two great-granddaughters and several nieces and nephews.

We are thankful for the love and prayer of many family members and friends of a lifetime. In lieu of flowers, we ask that you consider donating to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St, Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105. This was Craig’s favorite charity.
