Cynthia Fisher

Cynthia Lynn (Dietiker) Fisher lost her seven year battle with cancer on July 11, 2019. She passed peacefully surrounded by her family and love. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 16, 2019, at Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors in Whitney, with Mr. Geary Oldham officiating. Burial will follow at Whitney Memorial Park. A visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Monday, July 15, 2019 at the funeral home.

Cindy was born in Fort Worth to Geneva and Paul Dietiker, and grew up in Whitney. After high school, she earned her LVN license at Whitney Memorial Hospital where she began her 42 year nursing career. She spent the last 19 years proudly serving at Park Plaza Nursing Home.

Cindy’s friends and family loved to spend time with her whether it was playing board games, helping her bake and decorate cakes, or taking a trip to the casino. She was an amazing Mom, a loving Nana, and a loyal friend.

Cindy was preceded in death by her parents, brother Glenn Dietiker, nephew Timothy Wilson, and niece Kandra Dietiker.

She is survived by her son Clint Ward of Whitney, her daughter Sarah Oldham and husband Michael of Madisonville, two grandchildren Kaden and Axl Ward of Itasca, sister Cathy Winters of Whitney, sister Connie Heath and husband Preston of Whitney, brother Richard Dietiker of Whitney, and several nieces and nephews.

Memorials made be made to the American Cancer Society, 1700 Lake Success Dr., Waco, Texas 76710.
