D. L. “Lee” Frost, 89 of DeSoto passed away on September 21, 2011.
Services will be at 2:00 PM. Saturday, September 24, 2011 at Marshall & Marshall Funeral
Directors Chapel in Whitney with interment following at Bethlehem Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be from 6:00 - 8:00 PM, Friday at the funeral home.
Lee was born on March 14, 1922 in Dawson; the son of the late Lee and Pearl (Lefills) Frost. He first met his wife, Frankie, in school and then years later they were married on October 18, 1941 in Kerens, Texas. While serving his country in the United States Army, he traveled from New York to Hawaii and points in between. After the war they moved to Dallas until his retirement when they settled in Whitney in 1984. His hobby was building repairing all sorts of things with both wood and metal. He was also very artistic and enjoyed painting. The couple loved to travel together.
Frankie preceded Lee in death on February 15, 2008.
Survivors include daughter, Louise Jordan and husband, Ron of Livingston and son Jack Frost and wife, Pamela of Cedar Hill; 4 brothers, Elbert Frost and wife, Wanda of Grand Prairie, Ira Ney Frost of Rowlett, Don Allen Frost and wife, Linda of Splendora and Jerry Wayne Frost of Texas; 4 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.
