Dakota Sinclair, age 20, of Whitney passed away on June 3, 2011.
Services will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday, June 7, 2011 at Fort Graham Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Bethlehem Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8 PM, Monday, June 6 at Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors in Whitney.
Dakota was born February 13, 1991 in Waco, Texas to Harold and Susan (Lewis) Neal Sinclair. Dakota graduated from Whitney High School in 2009. He was currently attending Hill College and working at Brookshire’s in Whitney. Dakota loved his family and the many children that surrounded him at home. He thought the world of his nephews, Garrett, Gunner and Lane. He loved them so much. Dakota always saw the good in people. He had a contagious smile and an amazing sense of humor! Dakota was an animal lover, he especially loved his cat, Lilly, who kept him warm at night. He loved to run track and had an amazing coach, Billy McCreight. Dakota thought the world of him. He loved bright cheerful colors which went well with his vibrant personality. He had great friends. Andrew and Brice were his best friends. He loved them like brothers.
Preceding him in death were his grandfathers, Charles Lewis and Harold Edward Osborne; aunt and uncle, Richard and Valerie Lewis.
Survivors are his parents, Harold and Susan (Lewis) Neal Sinclair of Whitney; grandparents, Claudette Lewis of Whitney, Bill and Jean Nelson of Whitney, Grandma Pat Nelson of Whitney; Siblings, Jaclyn Peacock and husband, Lynn of Whitney, Justin Neal and wife Lakecia of Whitney, Tyler Neal and Lauren Neal of Hillsboro, Nick Leighton and wife, Melissa, of McGregor, Jordan McKnight of Whitney; nephews, Garrett and Gunner Peacock and Lane Neal of Whitney; niece, Kaleigh Leighton of McGregor; aunts and uncles, Roy and Susan Lewis, Virginia and Tommy Bradley, Ruby and Donny Robinson, Lorretta Sharp, Donna Lummus, Kim Pack, Bruce Pack, Terry Nelson, Larry Curlee, and Bill Yoes; many cousins, great uncles and aunts and dear friends.
