Dale Martin, 61, of Malone, rolled up his leads and left this life on Thursday, May 7th 2015. Memorial Services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, May 12, 2015 at Marshall & Marshall Funeral Chapel in Hillsboro.

He was born December 2, 1953, in Waxahachie, TX to Gurnsey & Elizabeth (Mitchell) Martin. Dale was raised in Milford where he attended and graduated high school. After graduation, Dale began his welding adventures with Howard Shifflett. Over the years, he worked for numerous companies, including: Chicago Bridge & Iron, Commanche Peak Power Plant, TXI, Chapparal Steel, Triple S Construction, D & R Construction and eventually started "Dale's Welding". Dale was a highly skilled, self-taught welder that could accomplish any task with chalk and a tape. He was also a proud member of the Boilermakers Union.

Dale was one of a kind. Anyone that knew him enjoyed his witty sense of humor and his direct, straight shooting words of wisdom. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He was a connoisseur of Texas Country Music. Some of his favorite artists include: Rusty Wier, Ray Wylie Hubbard, Mike Graham, Bruce Robison, Delbert McClinton, Tommy Alverson and many others. Dale was a Hard Worker, Loving Husband, Dad, Pappy and Friend.

Preceding him in death were his Father and a daughter, Barbara Ann Martin.
Survivors include his mother, Elizabeth Machen of Hillsboro; children Valery Martin and husband Jay Dee Aten of Midlothian; Macaley Davee and husband, Duwayne of Waxahachie; mother of his children, Jacque Martin of Italy; brother, Danny Martin of Streetman and three grandchildren, Abby Roberson, Jaxson Aten and Peighton Davee; extended family and many friends.
