Arnold Dale Patterson, 85, of Whitney passed away on October 27, 2009 at his residence. Dale was born on August 20, 1924 in Bradford, Pennsylvania and had lived there most of his life. He was the son of Kenneth and Eloise Reeves Patterson. He served in the United States Army during World War II and was stationed in several countries in Central Europe. He received 5 Bronze Stars and other metals for his service. He first married Betty T. Raught and she preceded him in death after over 50 years in marriage. In 1995, he married Mildred Cornelius Yoxtheimer in Mineola, Texas. The couple maintained homes in Pennsylvania and Texas after their marriage. Dale loved to fish and collect antique fishing lures. He was a member of First Church of the Nazarene inWhitney, International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 5 in Bradford, PA where he held many offices and was a 32 degree Mason with the Bradford, PA Lodge. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Kenneth Dale Patterson, sister, Katherine Johnson, brother, Jack Patterson, step-son, David Yoxtheimer and great grandson, Bruce Campbell, Jr. Survivors: wife, Mildred Midge Patterson of Whitney; 3 children, Sandra L. Northrop and husband Gene of Union Hall, VA, Brenda K. Campbell and husband Bruce of Carrolton, Ohio, Mark C. Patterson of Rocky Mount, VA; 3 step children, Donna Murray and husband, Jim of Oklahoma City, OK, Tommy Yoxtheimer of Whitney, Chrystal Ghriri and husband Said of Austin; sister, Karol Johnson of Port St. Lucie, FL; 16 grandchildren, 40 great grandchildren and 8 great great grandchildren.
