Dalton Driver was born on April 25, 1920 to Benjamin Franklin and Mary Webber in Hamilton, Texas. Donnie Maurice Driver was born on August 1, 1920 in Hamilton County, Texas to Herbert Harvey and Mary Alta Wilson. Dalton and Donnie were best friends and childhood sweethearts. They were extremely devoted to each other enjoying 65 years of marriage. They were examples to everyone living a Christian life and demonstrating the beauties and benefits of a loving marriage and caring relationship. Donnie went home first on July 30th followed closely by Dalton on July 31st. Dalton served in the Navy in the South Pacific as a medic during World War II and was named in Tom Brokaw?s recent book ?The Greatest Generation.? Donnie worked at LTV for 37 years retiring to travel with Dalton and help him with his work. They loved to travel and enjoyed taking long interesting trips in their motor home. They were both active members of the Laguna Park Church of Christ and Dalton served as finance minister for many years.They were ?care givers? always first to the aid of their family and friends. Knowing when to give an encouraging word, a friendly smile, a warm hug, and a helping hand. They were very ?tuned-in? to their family and would arrive unsolicited when needed. Dalton is survived by his sister, Lillie Mae Anderson. Donnie is survived by sister-in-law and best friend, Margie Wolf. They are survived by numerous nieces and nephews and devoted friends Jim and Bobbe Fowler.
