Danella Chrane

Danella Chrane, age 77, a beloved mother, grandmother and wife, met Jesus on Thursday, August 12, 2021, in Hillsboro, Texas. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 P. M. Sunday, August 15, 2021, at the Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors Chapel in Hillsboro with Mr. Glen MacDonald officiating. A memorial visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 P. M. Saturday, August 14, 2021, at the funeral home.

Danella was born March 2, 1944, in Crosby County in Texas to Bruce Lee and Louise (Shaw) Bateman. She was a 1962 graduate of Post High School. Danella was united in marriage in August of 1962 to Richard Souter and together they had three daughters, Shana, Dana and Laynie. On November 26, 2006, Danella was united in marriage to Phil Chrane in San Saba, Texas. They later moved to Hillsboro, Texas and enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening together. Danella graduated from the University of Texas at the Permian Basin in 1980 and then received her Masters Degree from Sul Ross State University in 1985. She was a public educator for over 25 years.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Junior and Louise Hagins and a granddaughter, Brittney Granger.

Danella is survived by her loving husband of 15 years, Phil Chrane; children, Shana Granger and husband, Benny of Andrews, Dana Pannell and husband, Jeff of Big Spring and Laynie Johnson and husband, Joel of Haslet; grandchildren, Brady Granger, Ryan Pannell, Raylee Pannell and Jaycie Johnson. One of Danella's (Gran's) greatest joys in life was watching her grandchildren's activities.
