Danette Lucille Hernandez, 57, of Whitney passed away Sunday afternoon, August 28, 2016, at Hill Regional Hospital in Hillsboro. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, September 3, 2016 at Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors Chapel in Hillsboro.
Danette was born September 13, 1958 in Cleveland, Ohio to Donald and Nancy (Pack) Perry. She was raised in the Crowley and Fort Worth area and was a 1977 graduate of O. D. Wyatt High School in Fort Worth. On July 24, 1976, she was united in marriage to Robert “Bobby” Hernandez. In 2006, she retired from the federal government as a General Service Administrator. Danette was a breast cancer survivor. She enjoyed crocheting and was an avid dog lover. Most of all, she loved her family and grandchildren unconditionally.
Survivors include her husband of 40 years, Robert “Bobby” Hernandez of Whitney; parents, Don and Nancy Perry of Fort Worth; three children, Donny Hernandez and wife, Tammy, of Whitney, Matt Hernandez and wife, Rachel, of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Rose Marie Hernandez of Fort Worth; daughter-in-law, Shanie Raspberry of Fort Worth; three brothers, Lee Perry and wife, Bertha Cordova, Darwin Perry, and David “Joe” Perry, all of Fort Worth; six grandchildren, Calliope Ruby Winter Hernandez of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Kaylie Wilkerson, Christina Garza, Robert Garza, Nick Garza, and Skyliena Hernandez, all of Fort Worth; and one great-granddaughter, Lily Garza of Fort Worth.
