Daniel Weeks

Daniel Loyd Weeks, 86 passed away Monday, April 1, 2019 at the Memorial Hospital at Gulfport in Mississippi. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, April 8, 2019 at Hillcrest Garden of Memory in Hillsboro. A visitation will be from 4:00-6:00 p.m. Sunday, April 7, 2019 at Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors.

Daniel was born April 21, 1932 to Truman Perry and May (Tidwell) Weeks. He grew up in Jones County Texas picking cotton and working on the farm. He attended school in Noodle, Texas and graduated from Noodle High School in 1949. Daniel was united in marriage to Katherine Herron on April 29, 1952. He served his country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict and after that worked for Westing House for 20 years until his retirement in 1994. He was a resident of Las Vegas, NV for 32 years, before moving to Biloxis, MS in 2007.

He was preceded in death by his parents; 3 sisters, Louise Carr, Janie Williams and Cleta Tarver; 1 brother, Gerald Wayne Weeks.

He is survived by his wife, Katherine Weeks of Biloxi, MS; children, Dana Taylor of Biloxi, MS, David Weeks and wife Julie of Hillsboro, TX, and Carl Weeks of Biloxi, MS; sisters, Brenda Lacy of Arlington, TX and LaRue Thane of Abilene, TX; 1 grandson, Daniel Lee Weeks of Biloxi, MS.
