Danny Baker, 59, of Bynum passed away Wednesday, June 5, 2013, at Providence Health Care Center in Waco. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, June 9, 2013, at Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors in Hillsboro.
Danny was born December 7, 1953 in Olton to Howard Manley and Nellie Fern (Mathis) Baker. He grew up in Frisco, where he graduated from high school. For a number of years, he worked for grain elevators and with his Dad on the ranch. He also worked for his uncle, Curtis Baker, at his cabinet shop.
After marrying Cristyn Henson in Dawson on February 16, 1989, he went to work for Chevron for 16 years where he was a fabricator. Danny loved NASCAR, the Speed Channel, and driving his mustangs fast. He also had a black belt in Hap-ki-do. He was of the Baptist faith.
Preceding him in death were his parents.
Survivors include his wife, Cristyn Baker of Bynum; four children, Shane Baker and wife, Scarlett, of Whitney, Aaron Baker and fiancé, Lessie, of Waco, Lee Prince and wife, Stacey, of Tulsa, OK, and Billy Moresco and wife, Sheryl, of Weatherford; sister, Lynn Rushing of Burleson; and four grandchildren, Dalton Prince, Allie Baker, Cade Baker, and Degan Moresco.
