Danny Walter Kelley, 63 of Whitney passed away on Janaury 31, 2009 in Dallas, Texas. Danny was born on June 10, 1945 in Charleston, South Carolina to Johnny and Anita Parrot Kelley. He was employed with Texas Instruments before entering the military. He was very proud of his first car, a red mustang. He retired from the United States Air Force in January of 1987 after serving 22 years. On October 7, 1984, he married Ruby Simpauco in the Philippines. He had worked as a defense contractor for DCMA in Waco, retiring in June 2007. He loved being outdoors with nature and wildlife and was an avid golfer. He was very active in Cedar Creek Baptist Church where he was Chairman of Decons, Yoke Fellow, sang in the choir and served as church secretary. He loved people very much. He liked to paint and working with stained glass. Preceding him in death were his parents; son, Jeremy Kelley and second set of parents, Walt and Alice Rosenquist. Survivors: wife, Ruby Kelley; children, Michael Donovan Kelley of Florida, Brian Daniel Kelley of Whitney; brothers, Johnny W. Kelley and wife, Beverly of Coldwater, Mississippi, Jimmy D. Kelley of Mllington, Tennessee, Paul T. Kelley and wife, Sandy of Memphis, Tennessee, Robert B. Kelley and wife, Vanessa of Millington, Tennessee, Sonny Rosenquist of Indiana; sisters, Vivian Kelley of Connecticut, Linda J. Kelley of Coldwater, Mississippi, Elizabeth A. Blaylock and husband, Walter of Bartlett, Tennessee, Mary Booth of McKinney; several nieces, nephews and other relatives and special friends.
