Darl Tipple, 84, of Hillsboro passed away Saturday, July 22, 2017, at Hill Regional Hospital in Hillsboro. No services are scheduled at this time.
Born October 16, 1932 in North Star, Ohio, Darl was the son of Harold and Mary (Hartzell) Tipple. He grew up on a farm in Ohio and was raised by his maternal grandparents, Henry and Ethel Hartzell. At the age of 17, he was united in marriage to Evelyn Goff on June 10, 1950. They were married 48 years until her passing in 1998. He later married Deanna Dull and she preceded him in death in May 2017. During the Korean War, Darl served his country in the United States Army.
For over 15 years, he was employed by Reynolds and Reynolds. He was transferred to Texas as a regional sales manager in Arlington. After his retirement, he enjoyed woodworking and making antique style furniture. Darl was also a published poet.
Also preceding him in death were his parents and a brother, Jerry Tipple.
Survivors include his four children, Pamela Bowman and husband, David, of Hillsboro, Darby Tipple and wife, Beth, of Carrollton, Shauna Patton and husband, John, of Hillsboro, and Laurie Lindsey and husband, Richard, of Whitney; brother, Budd Tipple and wife, Patsy, of Englewood, OH; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
