Darlane Kettleborough

Darlane Kettleborough, 69, of Joshua passed away on Tuesday, February 7, 2012, at Huguley Hospital in Burleson. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, February 11, 2012, at Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors Chapel in Hillsboro with Rev. Ken James officiating. Burial will follow at Ridge Park Cemetery in Hillsboro. Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. Friday, February 10, 2012, at the funeral home.

Darlane was born January 11, 1943 in Hillsboro to Nealie Joe and Denzil Marie (Finch) Madison. She worked for Joshua ISD as a special needs school bus driver, First American Title Company, and the City of Burleson Water Department, where she also served as city secretary. On July 1, 1987 she married Gary Kettleborough in Las Vegas, NV. An avid doll and jewelry collector, Darlane also enjoyed making jewelry. The hobbies she enjoyed the most were traveling, playing the piano, and dancing. In her mother’s last years, Darlane helped take care of her. Preceding her in death were her parents. She was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include her husband Gary Kettleborough of Joshua; two sons, Gregory Dwain Freeman of Cedar Creek Lake and Joseph Kyle Freeman and wife, Morgan, of Joshua; five grandchildren, Emilee Marie Celeste Freeman of Cedar Creek Lake, Justin Keith Beaird of Fort Hood, and Gary Jordan Biggs, Jeremiah Irvin Biggs, and Jacob Biggs all of Joshua; and three great-grandchildren, Dylan Hayes Beaird, Presley Leann Beaird, and Hunter Cash Beaird all of Fort Hood.
