Darrell Glenn Russell, died after a hard-fought battle with cancer on November 9th, 2023, at the age of 69 peacefully.

Darrell is survived by his stepchildren; Joselyn R. Gonzalez (Atilano), Henry Wallican III (Jennifer); his nephews, Arick Russell (Stacy) and Cliffton Russell (KD); his grandchildren, Leo, Adriel, and Adilyn; and his great nephews and nieces, Mason, Miles, Presley and Peyton. He is predeceased by his wife, Bridgette B. Russell; his mother, Virgie Christine Cabaniss; his father Richard Walter Russell; and his brother, Rickey Lynn Russell.

Darrell was born in Dallas, Texas on April 11th,1954. He graduated from Bryan Adams high school and went on to join the United States Navy in 1975, and later to become a licensed electrician.  On June 1st, 2001, he married Bridgette Blanding, whom he cherished. Darrell was a devoted husband, Christian, and Cowboys fan. He enjoyed hunting with friends and socializing with fellow veterans at the American Legion. Darrell was involved in many American Legion activities and served as the Commander for a term. He had an easy-going spirit, loved dogs, and always had at least one by his side throughout his life. He was a spiritual man and has certainly been reunited in the afterlife with his dear wife Bridgette. Darrell will be deeply missed by his friends, family, dog, and all who knew him.

A memorial service is scheduled for Thursday, November 30th at 2:00PM at the Dallas Fort-Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway
Dallas, TX 75211.
