David Braswell

David Harold Braswell, 68, of Whitney, passed away on May 15, 2015, in Clifton. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, May 22, 2015, at Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors Chapel in Whitney.

David was born in Fort Worth, on August 8, 1946, to Shelby Armon and Ora Lee (Bailey) Braswell. He served his country in the United States Army during Vietnam from 1965 to 1968. After his tour of duty in Vietnam, he traveled and spent quite a bit of time in Europe and worked as a concert promoter, managed a bar and worked as a general contractor. He was of the Christian faith.

He took care of his parents with unconditional love until they passed away.

Survivors include a brother, Gary A. Braswell of Peaster and a sister Diane Lankston of Watauga; two nephews, Kurt A. Braswell of Peaster, David E. Braswell and wife, Tammie, and two nieces, RaLona Moran and husband, Tom and Rita Lankston, all of Springtown; two great-nephews and five great-nieces.
