David Carver

David Vaughan Carver, 64, of Grandview passed away Monday, September 25, 2017 in Mansfield. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, October 1, 2017, at Burleson Seventh Day Adventist Church with Pastor Chris Morris officiating. Burial will follow at Hickey Cemetery near Hillsboro. Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Saturday, September 30, at Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors in Hillsboro.

David was born February 27, 1953 in Cleburne to Billye Murle Quillin and Robert (Bob) Vaughan Carver, who preceded him in death. He grew up in Keene, graduating from Chisholm Trail Academy, where two of his daughter’s graduated and his son currently attends. He loved spending time with his family. For the last 18 years, he followed his passion of helping others through his medical supply business he shared with his business partners. He loved to share his love of the Lord with others. He was a pilot and loved to fly every chance he got.

He is survived by his wife, Renee Edwards Carver; son, Isaac Carver; daughters, Patricia and her husband, Matt White, Jacquelyn and her husband, Matt Greenwood, Cristina and her husband, Carlos Fonseca, and Sharon Martinez; other sons include, Roger and Cliff Smithee; sister, Beverly and husband, Bob (Ham) Hamilton; grandchildren, Luis, Ricky, Maya, Jazmine, Audrey, Cali, Christian, Carlos David, and Leighton; nieces and nephews, Kimberly and husband, Mike Rose, Michael and wife, Kristina Hamilton, and Miranda and husband, Derek Dobson; great nieces, Mikayela and Kylee Rose; much loved in laws, Mary and Willie Edwards; and many cousins and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that donations to be made in his name to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or Texas Scottish Rite Children’s Hospital, Attn: Development Dept., 2222 Welborn Street, Dallas, TX 75219.
