David German


David Ronald German was born in Hugo, Oklahoma on February 3, 1932 to Henry and Abby German who preceded him in death. Dave was 78 when he passed away on December 25, 2010 in Whitney, Texas.


He is survived by his wife, Kay of Whitney; daughters, Nancy Busby and son-in-law, David of Dallas; and Lynn Carson of Dallas, four grandchildren, Evan and Adrian Busby and Drew and Camille Carson; a sister and brother-in-law, Emily and Charles Hill of Longview: a niece, Laura Bissell; two nephews, Scott and Jason Bucklin of Dallas and two step children, Randy Osburn, III of Midlothian and Mary Salter of Thornton, Colorado.


Dave was in sales all of his life starting with the delivery of the Paris News and working at various businesses in Hugo as a teenager. He was a top salesman for Ratner Clothes for Men for many years. He also worked in the auto aftermarket business. The last nine years he and Kay represented four publishers selling library books.


Dave was diagnosed with Alzheimers which he and Kay shared as our disease and they continued living a beautiful life with their family and friends.


David loved attending the Hugo Class Reunions and Homecomings and visiting in Hugo whenever he could.


Dave will be remembered as a handsome, sweet, kind, loving and fun gentleman.


Services will be held at White Bluff Chapel at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, December 28, 2010 .Viewing of the body will be from 1:00 - 2:00 PM and visitation will be in the Maurice Martin Fellowship Hall following the service.


Graveside services will be held in Hugo at Springs Chapel Cemetery on Wednesday, December 29, 2010 at 2:00 PM. .


The family wishes to thank Park Plaza Nursing Home, Dr. Shah and the Lake Whitney Hospital, Hospice of the Heart and the White Bluff community for their loving care and support.


Memorials may be made to White Bluff Chapel Organ Fund, Hospice of the Heart, Alzheimers Organization, Hugo City Schools Scholarship Foundation Fund, Hugo, Oklahoma 74743; or a charity of your choice.
