David Wayne Leach

Even the heavens cried Tuesday morning, August 23, 2022, as David Leach, age 64, of Hillsboro, Texas, passed away.  Funeral service will take place at 2:00 pm, Monday, August 29, 2022, at Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors, Hillsboro, with burial to follow at Ridge Park Cemetery, Hillsboro.  Visitation will precede the service from noon to 2:00 at Marshall and Marshall.

David was born in Fort Worth, to Walter and Barbara Leach, on January 16, 1958. David was a devoted father and papa. His phone was filled with pictures of his children, grandchildren, and his Siberian Husky Coco, who were all his primary focus in life. He attended every sporting event, music program, graduation, and award ceremony his grandchildren had. Everyone always knew papa would be there.

For many years he worked in aviation technology until a back injury caused him to be forced into having extra free time. He enjoyed working outside, camping, traveling, family BBQs, and being outdoors in general. He loved to sit around bonfires with family and laugh about old times. David was the king of corny dad jokes and would often have his family and friends laughing and shaking their heads at his comments. He left a hole in all our hearts and will always be greatly missed.

David was preceded in death by his father and mother Walter and Barbara Leach; his brother, Rick Leach; his son Brandon Leach; and his grandson, Alec Leach.

David is survived by his daughter, Jennifer Miller of Garland; his son, Bobby Leach and wife Jennifer of Itasca; son Johnathan Leach and wife Katrina of Milford; son Michael Leach and wife Lori of Hillsboro; and eighteen grandchildren, Alyssa, Emma, Miah, Seth, Tyler, Ethan, Elizabeth, Raymond, Ryan, Logan, Corey, Riley, Jonathan, Lillyan, Evalyn, Jacob, Aria, and one more on the way.
