David Middleton

On February 9, 2005, Glen, at home, surrounded by his love ones, went to be with his Lord and Savior after a long battle with kidney failure due to diabetes. Glen was the son of Frank Morton and Zelda Loraine Fincher Middleton. He was born in Hillsboro on January 18, 1962. He attended Hillsboro schools and graduated in 1980 from Hillsboro High School and attended Hill College. Glen was in Future Farmers of America and played trombone in the Golden Eagle Band. He married Renee Michele Grantom, his high school sweetheart, on August 20, 1983. He was a faithful, loving husband devoted to his job and providing for his family. On June 25, 1987, Glen started his career at Vesuvius U. S. A., where he was still employed at the time of his death. He was a faithful member of Central Baptist Church, where he served on the Baptismal Committee and the Usher Committee. Preceding him in death were his father, Frank Middleton; and father-in-law, James Grantom. Survivors include his wife, Renee Michele Middleton of Hillsboro; his mother-in-law, Frances Grantom of Hillsboro; his mother, Zelda Middleton of Hillsboro; a brother-in-law, James Grantom II of Big Spring; two brothers, Frank Edward Middleton and wife, Vickie, of Rockdale and Morton Lee Middleton of Woodbury; four nephews, James Grantom III, Joshua Jackson, Greg Middleton, and Garrett Middleton; two nieces, Andrea Henry and Magen Middleton; and one great-niece Miranda Henry.
