David West

Biography

David West, 47, of Hillsboro passed away Wednesday, April 13, 2011, at Scott & White Hospital in Temple. Memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, April 16, 2011, at Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors Chapel in Hillsboro with Rev. Darrel Beggs officiating.

David was born November 12, 1963 in Dallas to William Douglas, Jr. and Naomi Jean (Slate) West. As a youth, he grew up in Hillsboro and moved back to Dallas where he graduated from high school. For several years he lived and worked in Terrell as an electrician. In 1999, he moved back to Hillsboro and started his career in the computer field and taught concealed handgun classes. He was a member of Central Baptist Church in Hillsboro and the Peoria Volunteer Fire Department where he served as treasurer.

Preceding him in death were an infant brother, Kenneth West, and infant sister, Durrillee West.

Survivors include his parents, W. D. and Naomi West of Hillsboro; two children, Daniel West of Hillsboro and Kimberly West of McKinney; sister, Naomi Jane Stephens and husband, Scott, of Itasca; nephew, William Thomas Stephens; and niece, Patricia Jean Stephens.
