Dean Butler

Dean Raymond Butler, 86 of Whitney passed away on January 25, 2009 at his residence. Dean was born on February 28, 1922 in Ames, Iowa to Glen Raymond and Veva Victoria Ochampaugh Butler. He married Betty Sawyer on September 24, 1953 in Waxahachie. He worked for Cooper Airmotive as an installer retiring in 1981. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and loved animals, especially dogs and cats. He was a member of Open Range Cowboy Church. Preceding him in death were his parents and sister, Esther Holloway. Survivors: wife, Betty; children, Roger Raymond Butler of Electric City, Washington, Dennis Robert Butler and wife, Diana of Rowland Heights, California, Dennis Edward Humphrey of Las Vegas, Nevada, Terry Lee Humphrey and wife, Barbra of Longview, Michael David Humphrey and wife, Doris of Garland, Sandra Lynne Shaw and husband, Peter of Garland, Raymond Roger Butler and wife, Cheryl of Venezuela, Kay Ellen Baldree and husband, Rod of Alta Loma, California; 14 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.
