Debbie was born December 24, 1969 in Irving. In 1983, her family moved to Bynum where she graduated from high school. She was a member of the First Baptist Church and the Bynum Exes Association.
For a number of years after high school, Debbie was employed with Dairy Queen and served as an area manager. She also worked as a retail merchandiser before more recently serving as a merchandising representative for Revlon.
Deeply devoted to her family, Debbie loved to spend time with her nephews and nieces and was known as “Be Be” to all of them. She especially enjoyed trips to the park with the kids. Her favorite gifts to give were “Build-a-Bears” . A family tradition of which she was very fond was playing Bingo at Christmas time. With her birthday on Christmas Eve, she always celebrated her “half-birthdays” in the summer with a second party which wouldn’t be confused with Christmas. Her mom would make her favorite cake for both of the celebrations! Scrapbooking and coloring were two of her favorite hobbies.
Debbie is survived by her husband, Larry Baker of Bynum; father and mother, Ricky and Carol Reed of Waco; father and step-mother, Randell and Joan Lucas of Iowa Park; two children, Taylor Vest and Zack Vest and special family friend, Leigh Ann Najar; three step-children, Annie, Bonnie, and “Little Larry” Baker; three brothers, Dwight Reed and wife, Cathy of Carrollton, Glen Reed and wife, Jennifer of Cedar Hill and Tim Lucas of Iowa Park; three sisters, Suzanne Boeche and husband, Harold of Waco, Cindy Reitzes and husband, David of Red Oak and Alisha Parks and husband, Joseph of Iowa Park; grandmother, “Grandma Glenda” and Clarence Collyar of Irving; 19 nieces and nephews and one great niece.
