Delbert Lee Howell, Jr.

Delbert Lee Howell, Jr. age 71, of Hillsboro passed away Monday, December 14, 2020. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 19, 2020, at First Presbyterian Church in Hillsboro with Rev. Stephen Rehrig. Face mask and social distancing are required.

Delbert, Jr. was born August 14, 1949, in Olney, Texas to Delbert, Sr. and Billie Jean Lang (Oldham) Howell. Delbert proudly served his country in the United States Army.  He enjoyed traveling and would talk to anyone, he never met a stranger. He was also was an avid scuba diver and loved riding his Harley Davidson Motorcycle.

He was preceded in death by his father, Delbert Howell, Sr.; son, Daniel Lee Howell; brother-in-law, Stephen Goodale; and stepfather, M.J. Lang.

Delbert is survived by his mother, Billie Lang; children, Paul Stuchell, Shana Fletcher, Brian Howell and Daylee Fulcher and husband, Justin; sisters, Karen DeVillier and husband, Steve, Sharon Goodale and Vickie Collins and husband, Dink; 10 grandchildren, Mikayla Colin, Jacob, Chloe Muench, Carson, Chloe, Connor, Madeline, Temperance, and Alexis; and 2 great-granddaughters, Lilah and Jordan.

Memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church “Coats for Kids Project” P.O. Box 635 Hillsboro, TX 76645.
