Dell Ward (Odom) Greenhill

Dell Ward Greenhill, 88, of Hillsboro, Texas, passed away Monday, August 8, 2022, in Hillsboro.  Funeral services will take place at 2:00 pm, Saturday, August 13, 2022, at Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors in Hillsboro, with burial to follow at Hillcrest Garden of Memory in Hillsboro.  Visitation will be held 6:00 to 8:00 pm, Friday, August 12, 2022, at Marshall and Marshall.

Dell was born December 21, 1933, in Hill County to Estell and Velma (Martin) Odom.  She was raised in Hill County and attended school in Peoria, Texas.  Dell worked in triage for Dr. Davis in Hillsboro and in the Hillsboro Public Schools in the cafeteria.   She also worked as a cashier at Apple Tree Grocery in Hillsboro.  Dell was married to Buford M. Ward, then later married William D. Greenhill. She was an avid bingo player and enjoyed playing cards and dominoes.  Dell was a member of Central Baptist Church.

Preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, Buford M. Ward and William D. Greenhill; her brother, Edward J. Odom; her sisters, Myrtle J. Whitlock and Nanette Greenhill, she is survived by her sons, Buford M. Ward, Jr. and his wife, Bettye, Ricky E. Ward and his wife, Betty, Randy J. Ward and his wife, Laurie, Bruce W. Ward and his significant other, Renee Middleton, and Bailey E. Ward and his wife, Gwen; her brother, Lester Joe Odom and his wife, JoAnne; nine grandchildren and twenty-four great-grandchildren.
