Delton Cox

Delton Cox, 66, of Vaughan passed away Monday, December 12, 2005, at Hillcrest Baptist Medical Center in Waco. Delton was born October 28, 1939 in Vaughan, Texas the son of William O. and Fannie Jones Cox. In 1957 he graduated from Abbott High School. On July 14, 1963 he married Betty Alexander in Vaughan. He was a self-employed contractor and a member of Vaughan Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon. He served on the Abbott ISD school board for several years, as vice president of Chatt Water Supply, and as vice president of Vaughan Cemetery Association. Preceding him in death were his parents and an infant sister, Dollie. Survivors include his wife, Betty Cox of Vaughan; his children, Maria Craig and husband, Mikel, of Waxahachie, Stephen Cox and wife, Rebecca, of Waxahachie, Mark Cox and wife, Mikki, of Vaughan, Leigh Ann Aguirre and husband, Michael, of Arlington, Will Cox and wife, Tracey, of Vaughan, Michael Cox and wife, Sandy, of Vaughan, and Sarah King and husband, Tim, of Fort Worth; a brother, David Cox and wife, Nilda, of San Bernardino, CA; his grandchildren, Elizabeth and Ethan Craig; Prescilla Solis; Stephen Cox II; Nathan and Tyler Cox; Lauren, Haley, and Lexi Aguirre; Sadey Cox; and Ashley Cox; and three nieces, Antonette Tan, Teri Carter, and Paula Auerbach.
