Delton Simecek

Delton Wayne Simecek, 76, of Lacy Lakeview passed away Friday, February 19, 2016, at his residence. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, February 25, at Bethlehem Cemetery near Whitney with Rev. Doyle Cathey officiating. Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors in Hillsboro is in charge of arrangements.

Delton was born November 18, 1939 in Hill County to Frank Joe Simecek and Gladys (Thompson) Marek. He was married to Eva (Wallace) Simecek and she preceded him in death on April 26, 1998. A master carpenter, Delton loved making things with his hands. An excellent gardener, he enjoyed being outdoors, fishing, and being on the water. He was of the Pentecostal faith.

Also preceding him in death were his parents; son, Delton Wayne Simecek; brother, Bobby Simecek; and nephew, Scotty Simecek.

Survivors include his daughter, Karen Gail Glover and husband, Daniel, of Hillsboro; two sisters, Darnell Vancleave of Lacy Lakeview and Debbie Harrison of Hillsboro; two grandsons, Lyndel Ray Berry and Thomas Lee Berry; five great-grandchildren, Bryce Camden Berry, Emma Rose Berry, Sinnett James Berry, T. C. Berry, and Mace Berry; the mother of his daughter, Lana Gail Allison; and his pet companions, dog Harley and parrot Quick Quake.
