Denise Tuggle

Denise Tuggle, 77, of Hillsboro passed away Thursday, December 11, 2014, at Providence Health Care Center in Waco. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, December 14, 2014, at Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors Chapel in Hillsboro with Rev. Leah Hidde-Gregory officiating. Burial will follow at Ridge Park Cemetery in Hillsboro. Visitation will be from 5:30-7:00 p.m. Saturday, December 13, 2014, at the funeral home.

Born August 4, 1937 in Hillsboro, Denise was the daughter of W. C. and Elizabeth (Mullino) Robertson. In 1954, she graduated valedictorian of her high school class and went on to graduate with honors from the Cox School of Business at SMU, receiving her BBA degree. On May 19, 1962, Denise was united in marriage to John Tuggle in Hillsboro. She was a third generation member of the First United Methodist Church in Hillsboro. She also previously served on Boards of Directors for the Hillsboro Historical Society and Hillsboro City Library. Preceding her in death were her parents and two aunts.

Survivors include her husband of 52 years, John Tuggle of Hillsboro; daughter, Brooke Tuggle and husband, Mark Pomeroy, of Portland, OR; and grandson, Nate Pomeroy.
