Denver Beene

Denver Ell Buddy Beene, 87, of El Campo died Thursday, August 28, 2008, at the VA Medical Center in Houston. Mr. Beene was born April 23, 1921 in Oakwood, Texas the son of William Calvin and Myrtle Lucille Murphy Beene. He served his country in the U. S. Airforce. On April 5, 1997 he married Robbie Beals in Whitney. He was a dairy farmer. He was a member of Novice Baptist Church in Paris, TX, Hubbard Masonic Lodge #530, 32nd degree Scotish Rite Masonic Lodge in Waco and was also affiliated with the Eagle Lake Masonic Lodge #366 in Eagle Lake, TX. Preceding him in death were his parents; first wife, Mary Jo Ball Beene on January 26, 1996; daughter, Sherry Lynn Adams on April 20, 1998; granddaughter, Penney Adams; grandson, Paul Adams; two brothers, William Cecil Beene and Robert Barry Beene; and sister, Ola Rae Beene. Survivors incldue his wife, Robbie Beene of El Campo; son, David E. Beene and wife, Teri, of Lewisville; step-children, H. L. Austin and wife, Susan, and Tim Austin and wife, Maria, all of Eagle Lake, and Larry Marek of Needville; 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
