Derek Anderson

Derek Anderson, 20, of Houston passed away on April 18, 2006. He was the son of Jeff Anderson and Jeanmarie Puckett Anderson. Derek grew up in Spain, Tampa, FL and Alamagordo, NM and most recently in New Caney, TX where he graduated from high school. He was attending Kingwood College at the time of his death. He worked in shipping and receiving at the Wal-Mart distribution center in Houston. He enjoyed both freshwater and saltwater fishing, working with computers and working on his truck. He was talented in electronics where he could wire almost anything. On August 19, 2005 he married Jessica Collum. Preceding him in death were his maternal grandmother, Ruth Stanley, maternal grandfather, Kenneth Puckett and an uncle, Ed Anderson. Survivors include his wife, Jessica Anderson of Lewiston, Maine; parents, Jeanmarie Anderson and husband, David Buckelew of Whitney, Jeff Anderson and wife, Christy of Lewiston, Maine; paternal grandparents, W. C. and Phyllis Anderson of Santa Rosa, CA, maternal grandfather, Bill Stanley of Hartsville, SC, maternal grandmother, Wanda Puckett of Anson, TX; aunts, Chris Madison and husband, Stan of San Francisco, CA, Debbie Puckett of Augusta, GA, Carmen Dykes and husband Chuck of St. Augustine, FL; cousins, Courtney and Julia Madison of San Francisco, CA.
