Dick Allen

Biography

Dick R. Allen, 61 of Fort Worth passed away July 26, 2012 at a Fort Worth hospital from complications following a recent accident. Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM, Tuesday at the Marshall & Marshall Chapel in Hillsboro with Rev. Danny J. Gilliam of First Baptist Church officiating. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Garden of Memory near Hillsboro.

Dick was born on April 14, 1951 in Ennis to Hoye and Hazel Marie (Channon) Allen. He grew up in Hillsboro and graduated from Hillsboro High School. He also attended the University of Texas at Arlington. Dick opened a Allen Construction Supply in Fort Worth in 1987 and just recently celebrated his 25th year in business.

Dick was a very sweet and kind person. He loved to work, travel, play golf, read, listen to music and play chess. Preceding him in death were his parents and three brothers. He is survived by his loving wife, Eileen and precious furry friends, Walter, Marshal, Katie, and Benjamin.
