Dinette "Dee" Hanson

Dinette “Dee”  Hanson, 75 of Whitney, passed away on July 16, 2019, in Mansfield.   A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m., on Saturday, July 20, 2019,  at Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors in Whitney.   Inurnment will follow at a later date at West Lisbon Lutheran Cemetery in Newark, Illinois.

Dinette was born on May 25, 1944 in Morris, Illinois, to Luther and Donna (Cockream) Hanson. gowing up in Gibson City, IL and graduating from high school in 1963.   She lived in many places across the United States because of her job, but she settled in Texas about 30 years ago.   She loved animals, especially dogs and horses.  Her favorite pastimes included spending time with family and friends and listening to country music.    Dinette attended Open Range Cowboy Church in Whitney.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include her sister, Diana Rausa of Sterling, IL; a niece, Monica Rausa Williams and husband, Jeff of Annapolis, MD; a nephew Brad Rausa and wife, Mary Ann of Oswego, IL; great-niece, Emi Rausa of Oswego, Il and a great-nephew, Aljur Williams of Annapolis, MD.
