Dolores Kay Mitchell 77, of Stephenville passed away on Saturday, April 27, 2019 at a Ft. Worth hospital. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, May 1, 2019 at Whitney Memorial Park under the direction of Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors. Pastor Ronnie Shackelford will be officiating. A visitation will be held from 6:00 - 8:00 PM Tuesday, April 30, 2019 at the funeral home in Whitney.
Dolores was born June 14, 1941 in Whitney to the late Sherman Oliver and Viola (Cypert) Wallace. She grew up in the Aquila, Whitney area she went to school in her early years in Aquilla and graduated Whitney High School in 1959. On August 29, 1986 she married Timothy Daniel Sanders in Hood County, Texas. Dolores worked for Alcon Laboratories in Ft. Worth for 20, plus years retiring in 1999. She was a ranchers wife and enjoyed working on the ranch. She was also an excellent cook, always trying new recipes as well as baking delicious pies. Dolores also enjoyed flea markets, antiquing, refinishing furniture and was an avid reader. She was a member of Cedar Point Baptist Church in Bluff Dale, Texas.
Preceding her in death were her parents, a sister, Nancy Lehmann and brother, Gaylord Wallace.
Survivors include her husband, Timothy Sanders of Stephenville; children, Dianna Ward and husband, Elvis of Cleburne, Cory Mitchell and wife, Renae of DeLeon, Terri Lynn Evans and husband, John of Arlington, Danielle Daws and husband, Trinity of Arkansas; grandchildren, Jake Mitchell of DeLeon, Robert Boedeker, Alexis Starr, Casey Barnes and husband, Lincoln all of Ft. Worth, Reagan Solomon and husband Blake of New York City, Kelly Dubree and husband Malachi of Carrollton, Justin Bateman of Arlington; two great-grandchildren; sisters, Mary Schwanke and husband Glenn of Moody, Shirley Adams and husband Bob of Whitney; several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
