Don Brannon, Sr

Don Brannon, Sr. 73 of Hillsboro died at his home on February 10, 2011.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 14, at Peoria Cemetery with Bro. Brad Orban officiating. Visitation will be Sunday from 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. at Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors in Whitney.

Don was born on December 8, 1937 in Dallas; the son of the late Arthur and Jewel (Cluck) Brannon. On May 8, 1968 he married Charlotte Chance whom he met in the first grade. He retired from Williams Office Furniture in Dallas in 1995 and moved to the Peoria area where he owned the Peoria General Store. He was of the Catholic faith.

He loved his family and loved life and often said he had a hell of a good time.

Also preceding him death were his son, Don Mike Brannon, Jr. in 2010 and 3 brothers.

Survivors include his wife, Charlotte of Hillsboro; children, Vicki Montes and husband, Ray of Hillsboro, Janet Farmer of Dallas and Johnny Smith of Hillsboro; 6 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

The family wishes to thank the staff of Bridgeway Hospice and Tammy for the care of Don.
