Donald Allen

Donald Craig Allen, 59, of Hillsboro, passed away on December 7, 2018 at his residence. A visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m., on Monday, December 10, 2018 at Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors in Hillsboro to be followed by cremation.

Donald was born in Fort Worth, on September 21, 1959, to Jimmy and Yvonne (Martin) Allen. He grew up in Arlington and attended schools in Arlington and Garland. For 17 years, he worked for C.L. Alloy in Garland and also worked for Wise And Baker Cabinet Manufacturers in Hillsboro.

He enjoyed scuba diving, camping, and sports, especially football, and was an avid Dallas Cowboy fan. Donald was of the Baptist faith.

When he was 21 years old, he met the love of his life, Camellia Sherrod and they fell in love at first sight. On November 19, 1982, they were united in marriage, the beginning of an everlasting, eternal love.

Preceding him in death was his father, Jimmy Allen; his wife, Camellia Ann Allen; and step-father, Thurman Akin.

Surviviors include his mother, Yvonne Akin of Hillsboro; stepmother, Kathy Allen; children, Courtney Greenwood and husband, Jeff of Strawn, Michael White and wife, Michelle of Garland, and Jason King and wife, Darla of Heath; grandchildren, Lilyann Greenwood and Jacob Greenwood of Strawn, Rivere White of Murchison, and Hana King and Zane Hinds of Heath; brothers, Jimmy Allen and wife, Vicki of Ferris, Del Allen of Hillsboro, Jeri Allen and Gaylan Allen of Chandler; and a sister, Kelly Cross and husband, Rick of Mesquite.
