Donald Ray Copeland

Donald Ray Copeland, age 73 of Whitney, Texas went to be with the Lord on July 30, 2024.

Donald was born on July 13, 1951, in Anson, Texas to John and Mary Copeland. Donald worked for Flowers Construction for 30 plus years. Donald was married to Debbie Hinds and had one daughter, Tracy Copeland. In April of 1981, Donald married Kathy Knutson; during their marriage of 40 years they had two children, Matthew and Lainie Copeland.

He leaves behind his children, Tracy Copeland of Wolfe City TX; Matthew Copeland and wife Jennifer of Whitney TX; and Lainie Copeland of Burleson TX. Donald is further survived by his siblings, Deborah and Steve Neighbors of Palmer TX.; Sherry Hay of Houston TX; and Loretta and Mark Baker of Waco TX. He also leaves behind several grandchildren, Kristin Lopez and husband Felix, Zachary Simons and wife Fantasy, Collyn Copeland, Micah Innis, Bryce Copeland, and Peyton Copeland. Donald also has four great grandchildren, Zeppelin and Zuree Lopez, Rayn and River Simons. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Donald is a very loved son, brother, husband, dad, papa and friend.

Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family on Thursday August 1, 2024, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Marshall & Marshall Funeral Home, 201 N. Bosque Street, Whitney, Texas 76692.

Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, August 2, 2024, at 1:30 p.m. at Marshall & Marshall in Whitney, Texas. Graveside will follow at Bethlehem Cemetery in Whitney.
