Donald H. "Corky" Stratton, 78, of Temple died Thursday, February 1, 2007 at Scott and White Hospital in Temple. Donald was born July 25, 1928 in Blum, Texas the son of James Milton and Jessie Robertson Stratton. On March 9, 1956 he married Jana Crocker in Fort Worth and she preceded him in death on September 28, 2005. For many years he was an active Boy Scout Leader and Scout Master serving in Texas and California. An endowed member of the Scottish Rite of Free Masonry, Donald was past master of the Masonic Lodge in Richmond, CA, Blum Masonic Lodge #607, Whitney Masonic Anadahko Lodge #176, Knob Creek Lodge #401, and Temple Masonic Lodge #41. He was also a life member of the Royal Order of Scotland and a member of the Texas Lodge of Research #3209. Doanld served in the U.S. Army and worked for Santa Fe Railroad for 40 years, retiring in 1995. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his childern, Selayne Harrison Stratton of Santa Fe, Texas, Donald H. Stratton, Jr. of Klamath Falls, Oregon, and Mary Ann Bernier and husband, Gene, of San Pablo, CA; brother, Eugene Hardin Statton of Ft. Worth; sister, Mary Ella Coester and husband, Joe, of Midland; nine grandchildren, Amanda, Susie, Ray, Sam, Brandie, Daniel, Michele, Joe, and Kyle; and three great-grandchildren, Sammy, Jana Grace, and Juna Star.
