Donna Darden

Donna Ann Rankin Darden moved on to be with our Heavenly Father on Friday, January 5, 2018. The family will hold a memorial service at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 27, 2018 at White Bluff Chapel in Whitney.

Donna was born on July 26, 1938, in Weatherford, Texas. She graduated from Weatherford High School and was an alumna of North Texas State University, The Mean Green, where she achieved her degree in business. She was a cheerleader and president of Zeta Tau Alpha sorority as well as participating in other university organizations.

Donna thrived in business with every company she worked for, excelling as a real estate agent at Coldwell Banker in Dallas.

She was one of a kind, beautiful on the inside and out, had countless friends who adored her and her unforgettable smile. Active in her community, she loved golf, church, playing bridge and entertaining.

Survivors include her loving husband of 56 years, George Emmett Darden, Jr.; her daughter, Deanna Darden Orrill and husband, Ray Orrill, III; granddaughter, Alden Elizabeth Orrill; sisters Beverly Welch and Genie Rankin; and brother, Jim Rankin.
