Donna Tidwell

Donna K. Tidwell, 71, of Whitney passed away Saturday, April 27, 2013 in Clifton. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, May 1, 2013 at Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors Chapel in Whitney with Rev. Eddie Booth officiating. Burial will follow at Whitney Memorial Park. Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 PM, Tuesday, April 30 at the funeral home.

Donna was born July 12, 1941 in Whitney to Olen and Alma (Guthrie) Carroll. She graduated from Whitney High School in 1959 and then received her Associates Degree in Accounting from Texas Tech University. She married Don Tidwell on September 29, 1962 in Whitney. They lived in Houston for over forty years before returning to Whitney in 2007. Donna was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and loved her Lord. She was a member of Prairie Valley Baptist Church and Providence Christian Church in Houston.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Larry Carroll.

Survivors include her husband, Don of Whitney; sons, Monte Tidwell and wife, Julie, of Whitney and Lance Tidwell of Houston; grandchildren, Justin Tidwell, Cassidy Callaway Tidwell, Abby Tidwell, Mikah Tidwell, Coleton Tidwell, Braydon Tidwell and Mikayla Tidwell.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Whitney Memorial Park, P.O. 889, Whitney, Texas 76692.
