Doris Myers Oliver, 67, of Quinlan died Wednesday, February 18, 2009, at Baylor Medical Center in Plano. Doris was born November 24, 1941 in Abilene the daughter of Clarence and Athalee Frank Myers. On June 2, 1962 she married Don Oliver in Hillsboro. In 1998 she retired from New World Management as a controller. A very family oriented person, Doris was very good with kids and all kids loved her. She loved crocheting, making beautiful afghans, and enjoyed reading. She was a good baker, especially at making chocolate chip cookies and fudge. She was a very good sister. She grew up at Line Street United Methodist Church in Hillsboro. Preceding her in death were her parents and two sisters, Mary Walker and Lenora Jones. Survivors include her husband, Don Oliver of Quinlan; daughter, Karla Oliver of Quinlan; brother, James Carr of Fort Worth; three sisters, Clara Myers of Fort Worth, Frances Shellhorse of Roanoke, Linda Lovell of Denton; grandson, Travis Nelson of Quinlan; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
