Doris Rose

Doris Marie Rose, 87, of Fort Worth passed away Sunday, December 11, 2011, at Wedgewood Nursing Home in Fort Worth. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, December 15, 2011, at Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors in Hillsboro with Douglas E. Price, Minister, officiating. Burial will follow at Ridge Park Cemetery in Hillsboro. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, December 14, 2011 at the funeral home.

Doris was born April 7, 1924 in Hillsboro, where she grew up and attended school, to William A. and Annie (Dark) Williford. On May 11, 1946 she married James T. Rose in Hillsboro and he preceded her in death on November 18, 2000. Doris spent most of her life in Hillsboro except for 20 years in Fort Worth. For the past 6 years she had resided in Fort Worth to be near her family. She was a homemaker and attended both the Nazarene and Pentecostal churches.

Also preceding her in death were her parents; two brothers, Nolan and Roy Williford; and one sister, Dorothy Kaddatz, who died on December 12, 2011.

Survivors include her daughters, Linda Marie Cate of Crowley and Gwen Aimone and husband, Tony, of Fort Worth; sister, Billie Ann Goodman who lives near Cleburne; four grandchildren, Julie Lewis and husband, Marion of Balch Springs, Melanie Hewett and husband, Chris, of Alvarado, Brad Aimone and wife, Lindsey, of Albuquerque, NM, and Jason Aimone and wife, Lauren, of Roanoke, VA; five great-grandchildren, Holley, Justin, Nathan, Jace, and James; one great-great grandson, Caydon; and a number of nieces and nephews.
