Doris Sellers


Doris was the daughter of Edgar Lee and Frankie Miller Timms. She grew up in Junction, Texas. On May 25, 1953 she married Jesse Albert Sellers in Lovington, New Mexico. Following their marriage, the couple lived in Seagraves, Texas for nearly 15 years, before moving to Falfurrias for thirty five years where her husband served as pastor of the First Assembly of God Church. Doris was a dedicated pastor's wife, helping her husband minister to their church. She had a beautiful voice and loved to sing. In 1989, she went back to school and then worked as a medication aide for several years. The couple lived in Hillsboro for the past 2 1/2 years. Preceding her in death were her parents, 3 brothers and 1 sister. She was a member of The Sanctuary in Hillsboro. Survivors include her husband, Jesse Albert Sellers of Hillsboro; Daughter, Vivian Rose Sumrow and husband, Phillip of Hillsboro; Son, Jesse Eugene Sellers and wife, Teresa of Waxahachie; Sisters: Nina Mae Gentry and husband, Tommy of Junction, Alma Maude Young and husband, Richard of Junction; Brothers: Nick Timms and wife, Sandra of Junction, Danny Timms and wife Patsy of San Angelo; Grandchildren: David Clayton Sellers and wife, Meridith of Waco, Justin Cole Sellers and wife, Ashley of Waxahachie, Jessica Lynn Manutai and husband, Luamata of Waxahachie, Jordan Albert Sellers and wife, Ashley, Brittany LaDon DeFrank and husband, Michael of Waxahachie, Jerry Wayne Holubec II and wife, Stacey of Forreston, Elizabeth Rose Cvikel and husband Joe of Hillsboro; Great-grandchildren: Taylor Wayne Bullard, Logan Ann Holubec, Emilie Rose Holubec, Joshua Cole Sellers, Justin Andrew Sellers, Hans David Sellers, Zion Richter Sellers, Makala Kalani Manatai, Callie Lynn Manutai, Luamata Elijah Manutai, Baylen Michael DeFrank, Jayden Andrew Ramirez, Devon Riley Sellers, Rowdy Lane Sellers; and a number of nieces and nephews.
